Abstract
ON June 18, 1959, the editors of the Journal announced with suitable apologies the transmission to subscribers of another questionnaire not too closely resembling the proverbial dove seeking olive branches. The investigation was divided into two parts, which were sent to alternate names on the list of those with addresses in the continental United States.
