Abstract
This paper critically reviews the various techniques utilised for maintenance scheduling of generating facilities and points out their inaccuracies in minimising the risk of system shortages. The paper describes a new maintenance scheduling algorithm based on stochastic simulation which would provide a more reliable operation for the system, and better assessment of risk and system costs. Keywords
