Abstract
From the flowers of Crataegus oxyacantha L. by means of preparative ionpair HPLC the positive inotropic amines phenethylamine (1), o- methoxyphenethylamine (2) and tyramine (3) were isolated. The amines are responsible for the in vitro activity of Crataegus extracts on the guinea pig papillary muscle. Keywords
