Abstract
An electrophoretic study using polyacrylamide gradient gels and isoelectric focusing has confirmed that the ctenostome bryozoan Alcyonidium mytili Dalyell, 1847, to date considered a valid species, in fact comprises a number of cryptic species, of which three are present on the French, Danish, and Swedish coasts.Keywords
