Abstract
The two-body nonleptonic decays of bottom baryons are analyzed using a factorization ansatz and nonrelativistic quark model values for the baryonic form factors. Our results show that the decay widths for the axial vector mesons (a1) are an order of magnitude higher than those for vector mesons (ρ). Our results provide a means to determine the ratios FDs*/FDs and FDs1/FDs, i.e., the ratios between the decay constants for the vector, axial vector, and pseudoscalar mesons. Keywords
