Abstract
X-ray diffraction patterns from fibers of the sodium salt of reovirus RNA are the most detailed so far obtained from RNA. The structure differs from any presently known form of DNA. The diffraction patterns given by reovirus RNA and transfer RNA show very similar features, which suggests that these structures are identical, and which implies that all double-helical RNA adopts this configuration. Keywords
