Abstract
The author uses an independent electron model to evaluate the double ionization of helium as a function of the projectile scattering angle. The author shows that the observed structure in the relative yield of He2+ ions can be explained by a contribution from independent binary collisions between the projectile and the two target electrons. Keywords
