Abstract
Lennard-Jones potential parameters ε/k and σ were determined from diffusion coefficient values measured by the reversed-flow gas chromatographic technique. These parameters were calculated by using the regula falsi iterative method for the solution of various equations, yielding the ratio of the first-order collision integrals. From the parameters ε/k and σ, parachor (P) values of the gases used were determined, since parachor is immediately related to these parameters by an empirical equation. Finally, the values of ε/k, σ, and P, found in the present work, are compared with those determined by other researchers using different techniques. Keywords
