Abstract
An endemic focus of schistosomiasis mansoni has been found at Majma, near Ryadh, in Saudi Arabia. Juvenile kala-azar exists on the Persian Gulf littoral. Examples of sickle-cell anaemia and of other types of genetic anaemia associated with the sickling phenomenon are to be found among Arab peoples. Foci of severe skeletal fluorosis exist in Shahjah-Dubai, on the Trucial Coast, and in the Hassa Province of Saudi Arabia. Keywords
