Abstract
Succinoxidase and cytochrome oxidase activities of renal cortex are primarily localized in the mitochondria. Only 43% of the succinoxidase activity and 48% of the cytochrome oxidase activities of the total homogenate is recovered with the mitochondria. If negligible amts. of the final supernatant fluid are added to the mitochondria, 85% of the activity is recovered. After 2 washings the succinoxidase activity of renal cortex mitochondria is reduced 58%.Keywords
