Abstract
The overall operative mortality for lung cancer surgery in Japan has been reported to be satisfactorily low [1], with a 30-day death of 1.3%. In addition, the rate of pneumonectomy (PN) is also relatively low because surgeons generally try a bronchoplasty to avoid pneumonectomy. Keywords
