Abstract
A test for typing antisera to Herpesvirus hominis that uses the method of indirect hemagglutination inhibition is described. The test, which is based upon the differential absorption of herpes antisera by preparations of type 1 and type 2 antigens, is rapidly and easily performed. The results permit some conclusions to be drawn regarding the antigenic relationships between the two virus types. Some of the practical limitations of the test are discussed. Keywords
