CHROMATOGRAPHIC STUDIES ON 131I-LABELLED AMINO ACIDS IN HUMAN FAECES

Abstract
A method is described for the extraction and purification of I131-labelled amino acids from human faeces. The degree of purification of the extracts was sufficient for subsequent chromatographic separation on paper of the I131-metabolites. The method offers a means of determining I131-thyroxine, triiodothyronine and diiodotyrosine in faeces with a reasonable degree of reliability.
