Abstract
The analysis of adhesive bonded joints have been based, generally, on the assumption that the adhesive behaves as a linearly elastic material. Many adhesives, however, exhibit nonlinear stress-strain behaviour, particularly near failure. This article reports an attempt on the analysis of an adhesive tubular lap joint with the adhesive obeying a nonlinear stress-strain law. The Finite Element method has been employed for the solution. Keywords
