Abstract
Change in the carrying angle of the elbow after supracondylar fractures of the humerus is caused by medial or lateral angulation of the distal fragment. The angulation may be obscured on roentgenograms, but it is obvious to inspection of the posterior surface of the elbow in the flexed position. The angulation at the fracture site is easily observed, corrected, and controlled when the fracture is treated by means of skeletal traction with the arm over the body. Keywords
