Abstract
Failing stands of orchard grass formerly attributed to disease and drought were found to be infested with the billbug, Calendra parvula. Stems and roots in the crown area of the plant were cut off or tunneled leaving brown "frass" as evidence of the damage. The general appearance of the adult and larva was described. Notes on the probable life history, based on field observations and literature study, were included. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
