Abstract
Coherent-potential approximation has been used to derive an expression for the Hall coefficient in the two hybridized band model of Brouers and Vedyayev which has been used to describe the conductivity of disordered alloys of noble and transition metals. We investigate the effect of hybridization and disorder on the alloy Hall coefficient, and this allows us to generalize and improve the discussion already presented by Levin et al. in a one-band picture.
