Search for Resonances in the ReactionLi7(He3, α)Li6

Angular distributions and cross sections for the reaction ${\mathrm{Li}}^7({\mathrm{He}}^3, \alpha ){\mathrm{Li}}^6$ leading to the ground state and the first two excited states of ${\mathrm{Li}}^6$ have been measured in the energy range 0.8 to 3.0 MeV. The data are discussed with regard to resonances previously observed in the radiative capture of ${\mathrm{He}}^3$ by ${\mathrm{Li}}^7$. Some indication of these resonances is seen. Their alpha-particle widths are apparently small compared to their total widths.
