Abstract
The static cut-off characteristic of a crossed-field device has been measured for different valueB of the emission current. It is shown that an improvement in the form of this characteristic takes place on passing from temperature limited currents to space charge limited eurrents and that the improvement is not due to the increase of electron density in the interaction space. Keywords
