Abstract
Lemma I. In every adfected quadratick Æquation a x 2 - B x + A=0 , whose Roots are real, a fourth Part of the Square of the Coefficient of the second Term is greater than the Rectangle under the Coefficient of the first Term and the absolute Number or ¼ B 2 > a × A ; and vice versa if ¼ B 2 > a × A , the Roots of the Æquation a x 2 - Bx + A = 0 , will be real.Keywords
