Abstract
A therapeutic trial of a pan-T monoclonal antibody is described in a patient with a low grade mature T cell proliferation and hemopoietic suppression. Non-complement fixing IgG1 antibodies were highly effective opsonins, and the dose required was estimated from in vitro studies. Therapeutic failure occurred due to the appearance of anti-mouse antibodies and not to antigenic modulation or reticuloendothelial blockade. The literature is reviewed, and the potential role of serotherapy in malignant disorders is discussed. This publication has 17 references indexed in Scilit:
