Abstract
Studies of different types of transitions to chaos in Rayleigh-Bénard convection in a cylindrical container of mercury subjected to a horizontal magnetic field are reported. As the field is increased, structural changes of the spatial pattern are connected with different time-dependent behaviors and routes to chaos. Keywords
