Effect of Mengo Encephalitis Virus on the Ehrlich Ascites Tumor of the Mouse2

Abstract
The infectivity of the Mengo encephalitis virus for the Ehrlich ascites tumor of mice was investigated, and it was found that the virus multiples at a faster rate in the ascites tumor than in mouse brain. Invasion of the tumor by the virus is followed by marked cytologic changes which lead ultimately to the destruction of tumor cells. These phenomena are briefly discussed.
