Abstract
The published measurements of the physical properties of liquid plutonium and its alloys are reviewed. The unusually high viscosity is noted along with the low value for the heat of fusion and the volume decrease during melting. From these observations, a decrease in the metallic radius of plutonium during melting is suggested. Keywords
