Abstract
Radial liquid distribution was measured for concurrent downflow of air and water through beds packed with catalyst particles. The experimental results can be predicted by a theory involving two parameters, a spreading factorSand wall factorf. Criteria are presented for predicting operating conditions (particle size and shape and tube diameter) for which the equilibrium distribution will be uniform and packed‐bed depth required to attain equilibrium liquid distribution. Keywords
