Habituation of Responses to Novel Stimuli in Monkeys with Selective Frontal Lesions

Abstract
Monkeys with surgically produced lesions of the orbital frontal cortex, monkeys with lesions of the lateral frontal cortex, and normal controls were tested for the effects of repeated presentation of novel stimuli on lever-pressing for food rewards. The results support the conclusion that the habituation of responses to novel stimuli was more impaired in monkeys with orbital frontal lesions than in monkeys with lateral frontal lesions.Keywords
