Abstract
ALTHOUGH selenium toxicosis (selenosis) is a rare form of poisoning, it has been reported worldwide in cattle, sheep, pigs and horses since the 1930s. The condition is caused by the ingestion of accumulator plants or by accidental oversupplementation or parenteral administration. This article reviews the clinical signs, diagnosis and treatment of this condition in the different species affected. Keywords
