The Capitalists Among Us

Abstract
Capitalists enjoy an excellent reputation with the Polish media. Journalists seem to have fallen for them head over heels. They stare awe-struck into the capitalists' eyes while singing their praises with such eagerness that they often embarrass them since, as is well known, these praises are not disinterested. The greater the number of supporting advertisements, the deeper the paper's uncritical affection for them. Still, Polish capitalists do not feel sufficiently pampered. They complain about being unappreciated, neglected and hindered in their work. Nevertheless, their dynamism is undeniable. A significant number of personal fortunes have been made during the short existence of a free market economy in Poland.
