A neutral hydrogen survey of the southern galactic plane for Formula

We describe a recent 21-cm survey of neutral hydrogen with the Parkes 64-m telescope, covering the galactic plane over the region $$12^{\circ}\gt l\gt245^{\circ},\mid b\,\mid \lt10^{\circ}$$, with a sampling interval of 0°.5 in l and 1° in b. The survey has an rms noise of 1 K for velocity resolution 0.8 km s^–1. These data are now available on magnetic tape. Contours of integrated brightness temperature and hydrogen column density are given.
