Laryngeal Reflexes in Cat, Dog, and Man

Abstract
• We describe major differences in the central organization of laryngeal reflexes in cat, in dog, and in man to identify an appropriate experimental model for future investigations of larynx function. A similarity between patterns of the reflexevoked responses of dog and man suggests that the dog may represent the experimental animal of choice in future neurophysiologic study.
