Abstract
A multi-objective optimisation approach, based on the goal- attainment method, is proposed for the design of corn pensators for single-input, single-output control systems. An illustrative example demonstrates that this method offers the designer an ordered technique for the handling of a variety of design objectives or specifications.Keywords
