Abstract
The effect of F on the dentin formation in the rat incisor was studied in; (1) high Ca-low P rickets after the serum Ca level was temporarily lowered by starvation and in (2) low Ca rickets after the serum Ca was temporarily elevated by admn. of vitamin D. These expts. show that if the blood Ca is low at the time of the injn. of F, the exptl. dentin line calcified prematurely, shortly after the F has been given. If the blood Ca is normal, the predentin forming at the time is affected by the F but does not become hypercalcified till spontaneous calcification occurs. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
