Abstract
Glaucoma with gonioscopically open angles is found in a variable number of patients with capsular pseudoexfoliation. A patient is described who presented with bilateral pseudoexfoliation and unilateral acute angle closure glaucoma. Previously the association of these two clinical entities was thought to be coincidental. Certain characteristics of the present case suggest that pseudoexfoliation may occasionally be casually related to acute angle closure, possibly through the production of a pupillary block phenomenon.
