Abstract
To the Editor: Dr. Morse's rallying cry to physicians (March 1 issue*) to resist the "temptation to advertise" left me wondering whom indeed he is trying to protect. I have noticed more than once how difficult it is to choose a physician — especially when moving to a new community or when on leaving adolescence behind, one had finally had it up to here with the family doctor. Besides, much as Dr. Morse feels it should be otherwise, many adults simply do not choose to be "familiar with a doctor before the need arises."When the need does arise, . . .
