Abstract
Atomic vacancies and divacancies have been observed in computer-simulated liquid rubidium and the detailed size distribution of the holes has been measured by a computer technique. The results are compared with the predictions of the scaled particle and quasilattice theories of the liquid state. Good agreement is found between the calculated and observed self-diffusion coefficients using quasilattice theory. Keywords
