Abstract

Nineteen male and 11 female lobsters recaptured from a marking experiment in the Menai Straits had moulted and showed mean arithmetic growth increments of 12·3 ± 1·87 and 10·3 ± 1·2 mm respectively. These increments are similar to or slightly larger than those shown by other workers.
