Abstract
The growth of C rotundus decreased with each lowering of the minimum soil moisture % in pots in the greenhouse. 5 minimum soil moisture per-centages were maintained: 1, above the moisture equiva-lent; 2, 2% below the moisture equivalent; 3, 3% above the wilting point; 4, just above the wilting point; and 5, 3% below the wilting point. Top growth of plants in soil maintained between the moisture equivalent and saturation was 250% of the growth of plants in soil allowed to dry almost to the wilting point before being wet to saturation. Top growth was limited more than tuber growth below the wilting % and tuber growth was not limited until the moisture was more than 2% below the moisture equivalent. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
