Flash Lamp Pumped Tunable Forsterite Laser

Abstract
The flash lamp excited lasing of chromium doped forsterite (Cr:Mg2SiO4) was demonstrated for the first time. The maximum output was 4.95 mJ when the input energy was 283 J. The tuning range was from 1206 nm to 1250 nm.Keywords
