Abstract
The influence of substitutional disorder on the NMR-NQR line shape in crystals of solid solutions is analyzed and the results are used to investigate the phase transition behaviour in these systems. It is demonstrated that the Edwards-Anderson order parameter of the proton glass transition in the mixed crystal Rb0.44(ND4)0.56D2PO4 can be determined as a function of temperature by means of NMR. Due to the existence of random fields which couple linearly to the local random polarization the proton glass ordering sets in already well above the glass temperature TG 90K, i.e. already above room temperature. Keywords
