Abstract
We have performed a quantitative calculation of growth rates and tip radii for dendrites growing in undercooled dilute solutions. Included in our calculations are the capillary corrections to the steady-state Ivantsov needle-crystal solutions. Our results show good agreement with available experimental data and support the validity of the marginal-stability theory of dendritic growth. Keywords
