Abstract
If in literature, reference is made to the energy released during the failure mechanisms, little attempts have been made to take account of the local time-varying discontinuities in volved by the fracture processes. The objective of this study is to have an approach of the contribution of the dynamic characteristics of the source-event, and of their influence on the amplitude values of acoustic emission signals. Keywords
