Abstract
Bis(η-cyclopentadienyl)lead(II) reacts with HX to give Pb(η-C5H5)X when X = Cl, Br, I, or MeCO2 and PbX2 when X = ButCO2. RCOCHCOR(R = Me, CF3, or But), and RO (R = Me or But), with iodine and methyl iodide to give Pb (η-C5H5)I, and with acetyl chloride to give Pb(η-C5H5)Cl. The compounds Pb(η-C5H5)X are thought to have polymeric structures with bridging X groups. Keywords
