Abstract
SUMMARY Agaricus brunnescens Peck is shown to be the oldest, and thus correct, name for the cultivated mushroom. It is described and illustrated, and a list of synonymy is provided, with a discussion of its taxonomic relationships with other species of Agaricus.Keywords
