Abstract
Dense Li-Ti-O ceramics were prepared by hot-pressing of mixtures of Ti2O3 and Li2Ti2O5 in order to investigate the relation between superconducting properties and preparation conditions. They become superconducting in the Ti/Li atomic ratio range of 1.5–3.1 at a hot-pressing temperature of about 900°C, or in the temperature range of 870–970°C at an atomic ratio of 2.0. The highest T c of 13.4 K (onset 13.8 K) is obtained on the sample prepared at 900°C and at an atomic ratio of 2.6.Keywords
