Abstract
The classical two-phase model equations for heat regenerators are reduced to an equivalent one phase model by making use of the equivalence theory (1). This single equation can be solved analytically, therefore the evaluation of cyclic operating conditions. The equation includes axial heat conduction, heat losses and heat sources. The latter may either be constant or linear depending on temperature. Keywords
