Abstract
Measurements of the magnetization, the electrical resistivity, and the NMR relaxation of PrBe13 in the temperature range 1.4–300 K are reported. The results clearly show the effect of the crystal field splitting of the 4f level of the Pr ion and are compared to relevant theories. The proposed crystal field energy level scheme, Γ1−Γ4−Γ3−Γ5, with an overall splitting of 135 K, is consistent with all experimental data. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
