Abstract
Present organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays, including those on flexible substrates, demonstrate relatively poor contrast due to the reflective metal electrode at the rear of the stack. In this letter we report on the use of a contrast-enhancing optical interference filter to improve the contrast of flexible OLED displays. Some other benefits of using the contrast-enhancing technology are also discussed. Keywords
