Abstract
Male moths of Diatraea grandiosella (Dyar) were attracted to unmated females but females were not attracted to males. Mating occurred between 11 PM and 2 AM 87% of the time, 8% between 2 and 5 AM, and 5% between 8 and 11 PM. Females less than 25 hours old, attracted 58 %, females 25 to 48 hours old 33% females 49 to 72 hours old 8 %, and females 73 to 96 hours old 1% of the males captured. Adult emergence and a precopulatory male flight were observed.Keywords
