Abstract
The Hb level in hens varies widely and is influenced by various factors. Among these are intensity of egg production, amt. of Fe in the diet and the blood reservoir function of the spleen. The spleen, in distinction to its role in mammals, is shown to have no function as an Fe storage organ. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
