Abstract
Lipoblastoma is an unusual benign tumor of embryonal fat which occurs most frequently in the 1st yr of life. Its roentgenographic and clinical presentation may be confused with that of myxoid liposarcoma, the most common soft tissue sarcoma in adults but one that occurs rarely in children. Lipoblastoma can also be confused with a malignant neoplasm because of its histological appearance. The case reported is not unusual for the entity, but is presented to alert orthopedic surgeons to the characteristics of lipoblastoma. Keywords
